Learn about - How the Brain Causes Pain

Second Tuesday of Every Month

"Is chronic pain impacting your life?"

Workshop presented by Jean Jordan a naturopath and chronic pain therapist is designed for those who have to go to work daily and take their persistent pain with them.

Understanding how the brain is involved (or keeping you in pain) in persistent pain.

Different Treatment ideas have emerged during the past 20 years that are based around neuroplasticity. That is how the brain creates pain and pain messages provide variety of pain conditions.

Monthly workshops will introduce you to information and knowledge about how neural pathways develop in the brain and can influence the journey of chronic pain and how it can impact on your work, life, and family.

o   Unable to get a diagnosis.

o   Told there's nothing wrong.

o   There is no cure for ongoing symptoms.

o   Have conditions that no longer respond to treatment.

o   Been told they have to live with their chronic pain.

o   No medical treatment has made any difference to symptoms.

This workshop is a friendly informal meeting and would be a good idea to bring your notepad to take some of the ideas away with you.

What if there are ways to improve how your brain works, easy effective techniques you can use at home, at work or at play?

Hi, I’m Jean Jordan.

An experienced Educational Kinesiologist, Naturopath and Brain Gym Consultant  (AKA me) for over 20 years.

When I trained in Pain Management, Postgraduate study at Otago University it gave me an opportunity to understand the medical treatment in New Zealand.

I believe this can be improved with more patient input and doctors and physiotherapists learning about neural pathways of chronic pain.

In 2023 I joined the "Freedom for Chronic Group" run by Howard Schubiner whose ideas aligned with my own experience.

Come and participate in Jean's Monthly Workshops - you'll be amazed at what you can learn and have fun learning.

"I went to Jean because of my severe migraines.

I walked out of my first session with Jean.

I had such a weight off my shoulders from emotional baggage I had been carrying around for decades.

I couldn't believe it.

Over time my stress levels have reduced, my overall health and wellbeing has improved and my migraines have reduced significantly in severity.

I only wish I had known about Jean years ago."

"I was living with chronic pain, over four years I had been to every specialist Doctor in search of a diagnoses, done every physiotherapy exercise prescribed to me and the pain was only getting more debilitating.

Jean taught me how to release blockages, so I could move forward from events which I sometimes hadn’t thought about in years but it was clear that my nervous system remembered.

Jean was instrumental in getting my central nervous system to a state of calm I hadn’t experienced in years."
